Illinois homicide fugitive arrested in Lancaster County

LANCASTER, Pa. (WHTM) – An Illinois man wanted for a parole violation on the charge of homicide was arrested Sunday in Lancaster County.

Police say 39-year-old Zachary Shaun Smith, of Chicago, was pulled over for a minor traffic violation along Lincoln Highway East when his fugitive status was discovered.

Smith was reportedly staying at a hotel on Lincoln Highway East.

He was committed to Lancaster County Prison and charged with fugitive from justice. Extradition is pending.
