HARRISBURG, Pa. (WHTM) – Lieutenant Governor Mike Stack is promoting farming across the state.
On Monday, Stack toured Envista Farms in Harrisburg to learn more about urban farming.
The farm, which is across from the Farm Show Complex, grows hydroponic and aquaponic vegetables and fish.
The lieutenant governor says the unique form of agriculture will give Pennsylvania a healthier way of living.
“It’s going to give people who live in cities a chance to work in this type of area,” said Stack. “And it’s going to give us fresh produce and fish.”
Stack hopes to educate residents about the importance and benefits of urban farming.
