CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. (AP) – The lawyer for a man who claimed he was beaten by Pennsylvania State Police troopers says they’ve settled his lawsuit for $300,000.

Stephen Gracey, of Chambersburg, claimed officers punched, kicked and beat him after a chase connected to a domestic dispute.

Jacob says his client’s eye is left permanently damaged. He says troopers could have used pepper spray or other techniques on Gracey.

No criminal charges have been filed against any troopers.

Jacob represents clients in six different cases alleging excessive police force in state and local departments.

Pennsylvania State Police told the TV station they can’t comment on pending litigation.
