DENVER, Pa. (WHTM) – Police have charged seven people in connection with a target-shooting incident that left a woman seriously injured inside her East Cocalico Township home.
Four men and three women were involved in the February 28 shooting.
According to investigators, the seven fired multiple rounds from a second-floor deck aimed at tree stump in their yard. During the shooting, one stray bullet entered a neighboring home on Reinholds Road and struck 22-year-old Jamie Horning.
Horning underwent emergency treatment for a gunshot wound to her neck. She is in stable condition, according to a recent report.
The following individuals have been charged with reckless endangerment:
- Vernon G. Kurtz, 28, Denver
- Kyle Sholly, 23, Denver
- Wesley Melhuish, 24, Lebanon
- Andrew Richards, 24, Denver
- Brianna Rottmund, 20, Newmanstown
- Tawny Kissinger, 26, Denver
- Amy Dunn, 34, Denver
East Cocalico police said the group fired from seven handguns and 3 rifles during last month’s incident.
