Police: Student made threats at school, had weapon in car

BELLEFONTE, Pa. (AP) – Police say a student at a Pennsylvania Christian high school is facing charges after he claimed to have “enough ammunition to shoot up the school” and officers found a weapon in his car.

Spring Township police said Monday they were called to the Centre County Christian Academy in Bellefonte last week over a student making threats.

The Centre Daily reports (http://bit.ly/1S1Vc7J) 18-year-old student Cody Confer allegedly told an adult volunteer at the school on Thursday that he had a weapon in his vehicle and “enough ammunition to shoot up the school.”

Police say officers found an assault rifle, ammunition and an air soft gun in his car parked in the school lot.

Confer is charged with terroristic threats and possessing a weapon on school property. No attorney information is listed for him in online court documents.
