Police in Cumberland County looking for man riding dirt bike on street

CARLISLE, Pa. (WHTM) – Carlisle Police tried to stop a dirt bike for riding recklessly without a registration plate on Saturday.

The dirt bike was seen riding on N. Bedford St. around 3 P.M.

Authorities say the rider didn’t yield to the police lights and sirens.

The rider was a white man wearing a dark-colored jacket and dark colored pants. The dirt bike was small and white with red fenders.

Officers kept him in sight as they warned pedestrians and traffic of the dirt bike. Police stopped chasing him once he entered a wooded area on Belvedere St.

Dickinson College Public Safety is aware of the same dirt bike traveling on their campus.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Carlisle Police.
