2 injured, suspect sought in York shooting

YORK, Pa. (WHTM) – A suspect is being sought after a shooting left two people injured early Thursday in the city.

Officers responded around 4 a.m. to the 400 block of Salem Ave for a report of a shooting.

Latica Chavers and Tammy Green, both of York, were transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, police say.

Police say the women were specifically targeted and were known to the shooter.

A neighbor tells ABC27 they were woken up by fighting around 2 a.m., then heard six to seven shots.
