YORK, Pa. (WHTM) – Spring Garden Township police arrested a 49-year-old man minutes after they say he threatened to blow up a Subway and a neighboring store.
William Hogue was taken into custody without incident Sunday.
According to police, Hogue walked into a clothing store on South Queen Street and demanded money, telling a store employee he had a bomb.
When the employee told him she did not have a key to open the register, Hogue left the store walked into the Subway next door where he again demanded money and told an employee he had a bomb.
Hough got away with cash but was located shortly after near Niles and Rathon roads.
Hogue, who had three previous warrants out of Lancaster County, faces felony robbery charges and misdemeanor theft charges.
