Gunshots hit moving car in Harrisburg

HARRISBURG, Pa. (WHTM) – City police are looking for a man who reportedly fired a gun at a moving car.

Two bullets hit the car in the trunk area Monday morning as the driver was leaving the intersection of 15th and Herr streets, police said in a news release.

The 35-year-old driver told officers he drove around a white Dodge Charger that was blocking traffic in the 1500 block of Verbeke. He said when he stopped for a red light at the intersection, the Charger pulled next to him and the driver began yelling at him.

When the light changed, he told police he drove away and heard multiple gunshots. He said the driver of the Charger had parked, was standing in the roadway, and was firing at him.

He was not injured.

He described the shooter as a light-skinned black male in his 20’s, wearing a black skull cap and Timberland-style boots.

Anyone with information is asked to call Harrisburg police at 717-558-6900.
