Police probe 2 bomb threats to Walmart store in 24 hours

HARRISBURG, Pa. (WHTM) – Police are investigating a bomb threat against the Walmart on Grayson Road, the second within 24 hours.

Swatara Township police said an anonymous call came in just before 2 p.m. Saturday. Investigators said a Walmart employee received a call which stated there was a bomb in the store. Walmart evacuated the store as police shut down the parking lot.

Police and bomb sniffing dogs did not find any device.

Authorities said a similar call came in on Friday, which also prompted an evacuation.

Police are urging anyone with information to give them a call at 717-564-2550 or submit an anonymous tip through Crime Stoppers or SwataraPolice.org.
