Police: Man high on synthetic drugs pointed gun at stranger’s head

Robert Lowden

LANCASTER, Pa. (WHTM) – Authorities say a Lancaster man was high on synthetic marijuana when he pulled out a gun on a man he didn’t know.

Robert Charles Lowden, 23, reportedly pointed a stolen 6-shot revolver at the stranger’s head last April in Lancaster.

Officers near the scene quickly responded and cornered Lowden. A stun gun was used to take Lowden, who was described as violent and uncooperative, into custody.

Lowden pleaded guilty in court to felony aggravated assault, receiving stolen property, and firearm violations. Lowden was prohibited from having firearms due to a prior felony gun conviction.

Lancaster County Judge Dennis Reinaker will decide Lowden’s sentence in the upcoming months.
