GAP, Pa. (WHTM) – Emergency responders were kept busy Wednesday night after severe weather caused damaged in the Gap and White Horse areas of Northeastern Lancaster County.
A tornado warning was in effect for the area from 7:21 p.m. until 7:45 p.m. and soon after damage reports were being made.
The damage was not confined but spread throughout the area.
Crews had to evaluate damage on Old Philadelphia Pike.
Two houses, a church, and a barn were damaged.
There were also reports of a house fire in Leacock Township.
Dispatchers said no one was inside the house, but it is unclear if the fire was weather-related.
Neighbors said there a school house suffered storm damage.
PEMA said it is coordinating with local responders and agencies throughout the storm.
