HARRISBURG, Pa. (WHTM) – A man who said he was robbed over the weekend in Harrisburg has been charged for lying to police.
Rashawne Park, 18, claimed he was near 17th and Vernon streets when a group of males wearing ski masks attacked him and cut his hand with a knife.
Police said the incident never happened and Park fabricated the story.
Park, who was treated for an injury, spoke to police at Harrisburg Hospital.
During the interview, Park confessed to lying and said he fought with a person on the street which resulted in the cut on his hand.
Park is charged with false reports to law enforcement.
