Coroner says crash death in Lewisberry accidental, police still investigating

LEWISBERRY, Pa. (WHTM) – A woman who was struck and killed Saturday morning on Lewisberry Road died as the result of multiple blunt force injuries, the York County coroner’s office said after an autopsy Monday.

The coroner’s office said the manner of 45-year-old Nita Stout’s death is accidental.

Stout was walking on the shoulder when she was stuck by a 2012 Chevrolet Cruz around 7 a.m. Police said the Chevrolet veered onto the shoulder where Stout was walking.

She was pronounced dead at the scene.

Fairview Township police said their investigation is ongoing. Anyone who may have witnessed this crash is asked to call the police department at 717-901-5267.
