LANCASTER, Pa. (WHTM) – A Lancaster County man was arrested after his date with a woman ended with an assault and robbery, police said.
Manheim Township police said the woman dropped Michael Lewis off at a restaurant in the 1300 block of Harrisburg Pike last month, then discovered he was in the eatery with another woman.
She confronted him and their argument turned physical and moved outside. Once in the parking lot, Lewis allegedly punched the woman in the face several times and kicked her. He also tried to forcibly take her purse, cell phone, and car keys, police said.
Lewis, 30, was charged with robbery, attempted robbery, and simple assault.
He was released from Lancaster County Prison after posting $50,000 bail.
