MURFREESBORO, Tenn. (WKRN) – A 29-year-old Pennsylvania man has been charged with statutory rape after he allegedly drove to Tennessee to meet a teenage girl.
According to a police report, an officer was called to a Tennessee motel on Valentine’s Day on reports of possible child sex abuse.
The parents of a 15-year-old girl reported they caught their daughter sneaking back into their home around 6 a.m.
“Evidence showed that the girl had been at the Jackson Motel with an older man,” the responding officer wrote.
Officers then went to the motel and knocked on the door of the room the girl had left. That’s where police say they met 29-year-old Bradley Difrischia of Sharon, Pennsylvania. Sharon is about an hour north of Pittsburgh.
The police report says Difrischia told officers he met the girl in an online game. The two allegedly began talking via the social media app called Kik.
Difrischia is accused of arranging to come to Tennessee to meet the girl, picking her up, and taking to her to the motel. Police said he is charged with statutory rape for reportedly engaging in multiple sex acts with the 15-year-old.
According to the police report, “evidence was collected and other charges may follow.”
Difrischia is being held in the Rutherford County jail on $100,000 bond.
