Forget chocolates, Goodwill wants your ex’s stuff for Valentine’s Day

SARASOTA, FL (WCMH) – In a sort of protest against Valentine’s Day, a Florida Goodwill store is asking people do donate their ex’s stuff.

Goodwill Manasota launched the event Monday to encourage people to donate the things left over from relationships past.

They say they are ready and willing to help unload emotionally charged waffle irons and ex-boyfriend sweaters so people can enjoy a baggage-free Valentine’s Day.

Goodwill even had stickers printed that proudly declare, “I donated my ex’s stuff!”

It's #MissionMonday! We are getting ready to kick-off the "Donate your ex's stuff" campaign donation drive next week!…

While the campaign is limited to Florida, getting rid of that ex’s sweater that’s been hanging around too long could be a good idea no matter where you live.
