Man charged with involuntary manslaughter count in York bar death

YORK, Pa. (AP) – Prosecutors have dropped assault counts and charged a man with involuntary manslaughter in a York bar fight that left a man dead last month.

Thirty-one-year-old Rudolph Bandjough of East Berlin waived his preliminary hearing Wednesday in York County, sending the case to county court.

Prosecutors withdrew a felony charge of aggravated assault and a misdemeanor simple assault count and added the misdemeanor involuntary manslaughter charge in the Jan. 9 fight at Barracuda’s Seafood Pub in York.

Police officers found 61-year-old Thomas Reinoehl unconscious and bleeding heavily next to an ATM inside the bar, and he died the following day.

Authorities alleged that Bandjough pushed him from behind, causing him to fall and hit his head on the ATM.
