Route 30 closed in York County after shot fired at driver

YORK, Pa. (WHTM) – A man was shot at while driving on Route 30 in Springettsbury Township Friday night.

York County Emergency Dispatchers said the driver was not shot, but he was taken to a hospital because he was cut by glass shards.

Investigators said the victim was shot at by an unknown subject driving a dark colored truck with smoke stacks in the bed around 6:30 p.m.

The victim told police it happened while he was driving west on Route 30 near the Memory Lane on ramp.

Police shut down Route 30 westbound between Route 24 and Sherman Street from around 7 p.m. to around 9 p.m.
