Thousands spent on credit card after Lancaster Co. car break-in

UPDATE: Police say the people in the previously posted photograph have been identified and are not related to the incident.

LANCASTER, Pa. (WHTM) – A key was stolen and used to break into a car at Universal Athletic on Oregon Pike.

Manheim Township Police said it happened Wednesday around 5:30 p.m.

The key was used to get inside of the car and take a wallet.

The alleged thief used a credit card in the wallet to make $9,500 worth of credit card purchases at surrounding stores.

The surveillance system caught the person on camera at one of the stores.
