Heaters sold at Bed, Bath & Beyond recalled for fire risk

WASHINGTON (WHTM) – CE North America is recalling fan heaters sold exclusively at Bed Bath & Beyond due to a fire hazard.

The company has received four reports of the fan heaters overheating and catching on fire, according to the Consumer Product Safety Commission. No injuries have been reported.

The small, black portable fan heaters have an adhesive label on the bottom with model number “KU39229” and “Date: 0515” in the lower right-hand corner.

The heaters were sold from August 2015 through October 2015 for about $20.

Consumers should contact CE North America for instructions on returning the recalled heaters.
