LANCASTER, Pa. (WHTM) – The School District of Lancaster has canceled classes for the rest of the week because of the record snowfall.
In a statement, district administrators said the weekend storm left many areas throughout the city unsafe for students and their families. They said some streets cannot accommodate buses and many intersections are piled high with snow.
Schools are expected to reopen Monday. Parent-teacher conferences for next week have been postponed, so school will be in session for all students on both Thursday, February 4 and Friday, February 5.
