Lancaster making progress on snow removal

LANCASTER, Pa. (WHTM) – City officials say snow removal along the entire length of all snow emergency routes has been completed, and travel lanes on all side streets in all neighborhoods have been opened.

Crews on Thursday were working to remove snow piles at intersections and clearing curb cuts.

The city reminded residents to clear their sidewalks.

The School District of Lancaster, which is closed for the rest of the week, has made school parking lots available for use by residents. Vehicles must be removed from those lots by 4 p.m. Sunday.

Metered parking and permit parking enforcement has been suspended for the rest of the week,

Residents may report any streets missed during the snow removal by calling the Streets Department at 717-291-4835.
