The Central Pennsylvania Animal Alliance raises money for rescued dog’s medical needs

CPAA: Get Moving for Milo

MECHANICSBURG, Pa. (WHTM) – The Central Pennsylvania Animal Alliance hosted a yoga fundraiser, “Get Moving for Milo”, on Sunday to help support medical care for a rescued Chihuahua-mix.

When Milo was rescued in October, he was severely emaciated, dehydrated, and infested with worms.

His legs were deformed and in pain, and all his paw pads were infected.

After Milo was rescued, blood tests and X-rays revealed Milo had severe rheumatoid arthritis that was never properly treated, causing the severe deformity of his legs.

Milo is currently in foster care and is receiving extensive veterinary care.  He is going to physical therapy regularly in an effort to strengthen the muscles in his legs to enable him to walk short distances.
