Police are investigating a shooting in Lancaster City

LANCASTER, Pa. (WHTM) – Police are investigating a shooting that occurred around 9 p.m. Saturday on 28 South Mulberry Street in Lancaster.

Police said they were told that the shooting occurred inside a residence in the first block of West Strawberry Street, but when they searched the building they found that the suspect had already fled.

Police collected evidence and interviewed witnesses and the victim.

The twenty-four-year-old man was transported to the hospital and treated for non-life-threatening gunshot wounds to his abdomen and upper thigh.

Police said that this was not a random act of violence.

Police are still investigating.
