Man charged for stabbing and killing a man in Columbia

COLUMBIA, Pa. (WHTM) – Police in Lancaster have arrested a man wanted to murder.

Investigators say 41-year-old Ronald Lee Sheetz is accused of stabbing and killing 44-year-old Michael Oberdorff Sr.

The incident happened Friday night in Columbia along the 300 block of South Second Street.

Police found Michael Oberdorff Sr., on the floor with a stab wound to his chest.

Oberdorff Sr. stated to an officer, “Help me! Help me! I’m dying. Ronald stabbed me.”

Oberdorff Sr. was pronounced dead at Lancaster General Hospital.

Sheetz is in the Lancaster County Prison and is not eligible for bail.

An autopsy for Oberdorff has been scheduled for Monday.
