HARRISBURG, Pa. (WHTM) – A former Steelton accused of keeping her 11 children in a home filled woman with trash and human feces has been jailed in Dauphin County Prison.

Takeya Fluellen, 34, was arrested in Philadelphia on Thursday after authorities said she failed to surrender on aggravated assault and child endangerment charges. Bail is set at $50,000 cash.

Authorities say her children were found living in filthy conditions last summer. They said a trash can was overflowing and filled with maggots, feces and feces-covered clothing and toys were on the floor, and a broken toilet and a bathtub were filled with fecal matter. Six of the children had an illness that causes diarrhea.

Her husband, Tyree, is being held on the same charges. His bail at the prison is set at $10,000 cash. Authorities believe he is the father of four of the children.
