3 injured in Palmyra school bus crash

PALMYRA, Pa. (WHTM) – Emergency dispatchers say three people, including a Palmyra student, were injured in a school bus crash Friday morning.

It happened around 7:08 a.m. at the intersection of Gravel Hill & Bindnagles roads in North Londonderry Township.

According to school officials, the bus was carrying Palmyra high school and middle school students.

One student was taken to the hospital by ambulance. Two others were injured in a separate vehicle involved in the accident.

The following statement was posted on the Palmyra Area School District website:

Bus #145 was involved in a bus accident this AM while transporting MS/HS students to our schools. EMT and school nurse personnel assessed all students at the scene. One student was transported by ambulance. All parents were notified, and many parents picked up their students at the scene. Other students were transported to the MS and HS in another bus. The bus accident caused the elementary students assigned to Bus #145 to be transported by Bus #124
