Police: Major heroin dealer, runners arrested in Chambersburg

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. (WHTM) – Authorities say they’ve arrested a man who was one of the largest distributors of heroin to the Chambersburg area.

Police also arrested four “runners” who sold the drug for 28-year-old Rashawn Spriggs, according to a news release from the Franklin County Drug Task Force.

Authorities identified the co-defendants as John R. Barnes, 55; Chelsea S. Sheeder, 24; Joshua W. Baker, 19; and Daejon A. Spriggs, 18; all of Chambersburg.

Rashawn Spriggs allegedly used several “stash,” or “trap” houses, where he and the others sold heroin. Police said they stopped people who visited the locations and seized heroin and heroin-related drug paraphernalia.

When police searched the locations, they said they seized heroin, digital scales, packaging, money, and other evidence of drug sales.

Daejon Spriggs is accused of selling heroin from a room in a West Loudon Street motel.
