The Polar Plunge Returns to Benefit Special Olympics

The Capital Area Polar Plunge supports Special Olympics PA – Area M, which trains athletes in Cumberland, Dauphin, Perry and Northern York Counties. Participants raise a minimum of $50 to be an Official Plunger. The day of the event (Jan 16) they will Plunge into the icy lake at Gifford Pinchot State Park to show their support for the athletes of Special Olympics. They even have an option of being a Chicken Plunger for those folks that want to support Special Olympics, but don’t want to jump into the icy lake. Participants can receive great incentive prizes for their fundraising efforts.
