MIDDLETOWN, Pa. (WHTM) – The Powerball lottery jackpot has reached $450 million for Wednesday night’s drawing.
The Pennsylvania Lottery says strong ticket sales added another $50 million to the prize, which had rolled to $400 million after the drawing on Saturday.
A single ticket with the cash option would be worth $275.4 million.
The jackpot is Powerball’s fourth-largest and the sixth-largest lottery prize ever in the United States.
No Powerball ticket has matched all numbers drawn since Nov. 4. The grand prize is the multi-state game’s largest since February 2015, when three winners split $564.1 million.
Tickets for the drawing will be available until 9:59 p.m. Wednesday evening.
