President Barack Obama has unveiled new actions to tighten gun sales.
His executive order announced Tuesday expands background checks on buyers by requiring more sellers to register as federally licensed gun dealers.
The order requires those “in the business of selling firearms” to register as licensed gun dealers.
Under current law, only federally licensed gun dealers must conduct background checks on buyers. But at gun shows, websites and flea markets, sellers often skirt that requirement by declining to register as licensed dealers.
