HARRISBURG, Pa. (WHTM) – Police are investigating the fatal shooting of a 19-year-old man in the city.
Andre L. Parker, of Lower Paxton Township, died after he was shot around 12:50 a.m. Monday in the 300 block of Burchfield Street. Police found him in the middle of the street with multiple gunshot wounds.
Investigators charged two 18-year-old women and an 18-year-old man in the crime.
Ayanna Perryman and Na’shae Thompson are charged with criminal homicide, two counts of robbery, and two counts of criminal conspiracy to commit robbery. Eiane McCollum is facing the same charges as the women as well as two counts of criminal conspiracy to commit homicide, attempted homicide, and carrying a firearm without a license.
Police said Parker and a 25-year-old man were lured to Burchfield Street for a robbery. The 25-year-old man was grazed by a bullet. He was treated at a hospital and released.
“Upon arrival of the police department, we confirmed a young male at this point was lying in the street unresponsive. After further check, it was determined that he was deceased from apparent gunshot wounds,” police Captain Deric Moody said.
Moody said this area of the city has had recent crime issues.
“As of recently, we’ve been getting some drug activity and stuff down here. I don’t know if that’s the case for this one, but this street has recently come into our attention. We’ll see what develops from here,” he said.
