MANHEIM, Pa. (WHTM) – A Lancaster County woman has been charged in a drunk driving hit-and-run crash that injured two pedestrians last month.
Ashley Claycomb, 23, of Manheim, is charged with felony counts of hit-and-run and aggravated assault by vehicle while DUI, according to a news release from the Lancaster County district attorney’s office.
She also is charged with misdemeanor counts of hit-and-run and DUI, along with a summary violation for not notifying police about the Dec. 20 crash at the Cat’s Meow in the 200 block of Charlotte Street.
Authorities say Claycomb backed into two pedestrians in the parking lot while she was leaving the bar and restaurant, pinning a 32-year-old Harrisburg man and a 30-year-old Elizabethtown woman against another vehicle.
Both pedestrians were hospitalized for their injuries. The woman suffered a hip fracture that required surgery, and the man had both a concussion and an injury to his left leg.
Police found Claycomb at her home. They said her blood-alcohol content was .156 percent, nearly twice Pennsylvania’s legal limit.
