HARRISBURG, Pa. (WHTM) – The Large Arena at the Farm Show Complex and Expo Center has been renamed the New Holland Arena.
“It is great to have this brand represented at the Pennsylvania Farm Show Complex,” said Brett- Lieberman, vice president of New Holland Brand North America.
New Holland Agriculture, a long-standing Lancaster County businesses, is teaming up with the Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture for a five-year partnership.
“This is the first we have done this type of partnership for the large arena,” Secretary of Agriculture Russell Redding said. “It is a special moment for Pennsylvania and Pennsylvania agriculture.”
New Holland has been making farming equipment since 1895 and is now present in 170 countries. They are donating 30 pieces of equipment to help maintain the 23-acre Farm Show Complex.
“This is very exciting for us. It is going to help our guys to be able to work so much more efficiently,” said Sharon A. Altland, executive director of the Farm Show Complex and Expo Center.
New Holland Agriculture is also donating half a million dollars over the next five years.
“We are certainly hoping to do some improvements within the arena,” Altland said.
“This partnership is critical to us. It gives us a sponsor for the large arena, but it also ties the show and the complex to an agriculture manufacturer here in Pennsylvania with deep roots,” Redding said.
Permanent signs with the new name New Holland Arena will be posted after the 100th Farm Show, which begins Saturday.
