ENOLA, Pa. (WHTM) – An Enola man who was injured in a bar fight is facing charges for allegedly giving false information and fighting with police.

Michael Lynn Rittle, 40, was arrested early Wednesday just a short time after police responded to a report of an active fight at the Grotto Pub on Market Street.

Rittle spoke to officers and claimed he was assaulted at the bar, but police say he then provided them with a false name and left the area.

When police caught up to Rittle, he allegedly began to fight in attempt to avoid arrest.

Rittle has been charged with public intoxication, flight to avoid apprehension and resisting arrest.
