York City Council passes revised budget plan

YORK, Pa. (WHTM) – Mayor Kim Bracey has signed a budget plan for the city of York despite it being not the plan she initially proposed.

In an emergency meeting held Wednesday morning, city council members voted 4-1 to adopt an amended budget.

Changes included covering overtime for employees working at the wastewater treatment plant and the salary for a deputy direction position for the department of economic and community development.

The approved budget also includes a $150, 000 cut from the school district.

A sewer rate increase was not included in the budget deal.
