HARRISBURG, Pa. (AP) – Pennsylvania Attorney General Kathleen Kane says she’s found only one email sent to her among the salacious, offensive and humorous emails exchanged among state prosecutors, judges and others.
Kane released that email and dozens of emails sent to or from her twin sister, Ellen Granahan, late Wednesday, after a Philadelphia prosecutor challenged her to disclose them.
Prosecutor Mark Gilson says Kane received 11 emails and Granahan 58, telling reporters he knows that because of his work with a grand jury.
A Kane spokesman says he doesn’t know where Gilson came up with the larger number. A spokesman for the Philadelphia District Attorney’s Office says he isn’t able to explain the discrepancy.
The one email linked to Kane is titled “Pictures Taken At Exactly the Wrong Time.” It depicts embarrassing, sexually suggestive or humorous content. She received it in 2009, four years before becoming attorney general.
