Police: Millersville woman failed to stop husband’s child sexual abuse

MILLERSVILLE, Pa. (WHTM) – A Lancaster County woman was charged with endangering the welfare of a child after police said she did nothing to stop her husband from sexually abusing a child.

Deana N. Mitchell, 35, of Millersville, knew her husband was sexually assaulting the girl for at least the past year, but she didn’t report the incidents to anyone, Manor Township police said.

Her husband, 53-year-old Raymond L. Mitchell Jr., was arrested in October after police said he sexually abused the girl over the past two years.

He is charged with rape, statutory sexual assault, involuntary deviate sexual intercourse, unlawful contact with a minor, corruption of minors, and indecent assault.
