Shots fired into Lower Paxton home

HARRISBURG, Pa. (WHTM) – A Lower Paxton Township home was hit by several bullets that apparently were fired from a car, police said.

Township police said the home in the 1000 block of Topview Drive has several bullet holes, and bullets were found in furniture and a living room wall.

The shots were fired around 7 p.m. while the residents were in an adjacent eat-in kitchen.

Police said they found bullet casings on the roadway in front of the home, and a witness reported seeing a dark blue Chevrolet Cavalier leaving Topview Drive at a high rate of speed.

The witness reported the driver, a young man, was laughing and had passengers in his car.

Police said they don’t yet know if the home was targeted or if the incident was a random act.
