HARRISBURG, Pa. (WHTM) – A 22-year-old Harrisburg man is facing four years in prison for carrying out five bank robberies in Pennsylvania and New Jersey.
U.S. District Judge Yvette Kane also ordered Dylan Blum to pay restitution in the amount of $7,146.
The robberies occurred in the span of one month, beginning in December 2014.
According to U.S. Attorney Peter Smith, Blum passed threatening notes to tellers during robberies in Harrisburg, Northampton County, and New Jersey.
In one of Blum’s attempts, bank employees prevented him from entering the building.
Blum has remained in custody since turning himself in to authorities back in January.
