HARRISBURG, Pa. (WHTM) – Dauphin County residents may have to pay an additional extra $5 to register their vehicles.
County commissioners will consider adopting an annual vehicle registration fee at their next meeting on Wednesday. A vote is expected next week.
Act 89 of 2013, a state transportation funding bill, allows counties to implement their own vehicle registration fees to fund road and bridge construction projects.
Officials say the fee would raise an additional $1.9 million each year for various projects.
