LANCASTER, Pa. (WHTM) – A Lancaster man is facing charges after his 11-day-old daughter was treated in the hospital for injuries doctors say were intentional and not accidental.
According to police, Keith Warren Dorsey, 23, struck his daughter with his hands after he and her were alone inside their apartment, causing visible bruising on her torso and upper lip.
The child’s mother told investigators she brought the child to Lancaster General Hospital when she noticed the injuries.
Dorsey was transported to Lancaster County Prison for arraignment. He has been charged with aggravated assault of a child and recklessly endangering another person.
The Lancaster County Children and Youth Agency and the Lancaster County District Attorney’s Office Special Victims Unit are assisting with the investigation.
