Harrisburg man charged in road rage incident

(WHTM) – Police have filed charges against a Harrisburg man accused of following a vehicle on Route 283 and then pointing a gun at the driver. It happened Monday on the westbound lanes.

Jose Catillo Martinez, 36, is facing simple assault, recklessly endangering another person, and reckless driving charges.

Police spoke to the victim who said Martinez continued tailgating him even after he slowed down to let him pass. When he pulled off at an exit for Route 741, Martinez stopped alongside him and aimed a gun in his direction.

Martinez drove away when the victim said he was calling police.

Martinez has not been arrested.
