Jingle Bell Run set for Saturday, December 12 in Harrisburg

The 2015 Jingle Bell Run: Harrisburg will be on Saturday, December 12th from 8:00 AM -11:00 AM  at the PinnacleHealth West Shore Campus and on Sunday, December 13th at the Conestoga Valley High School in Lancaster starting at 9:00 AM.  Over 1500 attendees  are expected to come out in festive holiday gear to run or walk and support  and raise funds to show support for the 2.9 million Pennsylvanians, including  11,500 children,  who are living  Arthritis.IMG_6848

Nearly 3,000 people are expected to bring the holiday spirit when they “jingle all the way” to for the Arthritis Foundation’s annual Jingle Bell Run/Walk events. This festive annual fundraiser aims to fight and cure arthritis, the nation’s leading cause of disability. The annual holiday-themed event kicks off at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday and 9:00 a.m. on Sunday.

Both sites will host a Kids Fun Run one hour before the 5K run/walk will starts at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday and 11:00 on Sunday. Walkers and runners alike will be donning their most festive apparel – everything from bells on shoelaces to full holiday costumes. This 5K is sure to spread smiles, holiday cheer and a winning spirit.

The goal is to raise $175,000 dollars this Jingle Bell Run/Walk for Arthritis season to support the Arthritis Foundation’s life-changing tools, resources, science, and advocacy initiatives. The Foundation strives to help people live better while searching for a cure to the number one cause of disability in the United States, which affects more than 2.9 million Pennsylvanians.
