(WHTM) – A Millersville man accused of sexually abusing a teenage girl will continue serving his prison term after an appeals court rejected his claim that video evidence in his case was illegal.
In 2013, 51-year-old Leon Tadych plead guilty to felony sex abuse of a 14-year-old girl, in exchange for a 12-to-24-year prison sentence.
Video recordings of the crimes were brought forth as evidence in his trial. With Tadych’s wife’s permission, police obtained the recordings through a camera installed inside their home.
Tadych argued that his attorney give him bad counsel and that he should have challenged the video evidence rather than agree to a plea deal.
The state Superior Court found that the attorney gave “reasonable” advice and that Judge Dennis Reinaker’s previous denial of appeal was appropriate.
