Lebanon man arrested for robbery outside of hospital

LEBANON, Pa. (WHTM) – Police arrested a man they say robbed a woman outside the Good Samaritan Hospital Wednesday.

According to a news release, Angel Velez, 24, was arrested for public drunkenness just over an hour before the incident.

Velez was released to a relative who then took him to Good Samaritan Hospital. Police say he ditched the relative and ran on foot.

According to the victim, who was an employee of the hospital, Velez knocked her down from behind and grabbed her purse.

Velez was located at a nearby residence with items belonging to the victim.

He is behind bars on $75,000 bail.
