HARRISBURG, Pa. (WHTM) – Four of Attorney General Kathleen Kane’s top deputies will testify Wednesday before a state Senate committee that could recommend her removal from office.
The deputies are expected to give testimony about how the office is functioning with a boss that has a suspended law license. A leaked memo signed by the four suggests they think Kane can’t fulfill most of her duties, despite her claims that she can.
The Special Committee on Senate Address will make its recommendation to the full Senate next week.
Kane’s law license was suspended by the state Supreme Court last month. She’s facing criminal charges including perjury, false swearing and obstruction.
