Man jailed for 10 store robberies in Lancaster, Chester counties

LANCASTER, Pa. (WHTM) – A Coatesville man has been arrested for 10 armed robberies at Dollar General and Family Dollar stores in Chester and Lancaster counties.

Tyree D. Holmes, 23, used a handgun to commit the heists between January and November, state police in Lancaster said.

All of the stores were located along Route 30 between Lancaster and Coatesville.

Holmes is accused of robbing the Dollar General in Gap three times between January and September. Police said he twice robbed the Dollar General in nearby Paradise Township, in September and November, and he is accused of an October heist at the Dollar General in East Lampeter Township.

He is charged with robbery, theft, and related charges. He is awaiting a preliminary hearing in Lancaster County Prison.
