MECHANICSBURG, Pa. (WHTM) – Upper Allen Township police said they’re following up on some leads in their search for a man who sexually assaulted a woman in her home.

Police Lt. Michael McLaughlin said investigators received some calls after they released a composite sketch of the man they’re looking for in Wednesday night’s assault in the 1000 block of Lancaster Boulevard.

The attacker claimed he was armed when he assaulted the woman. McLaughlin said the victim did not see the weapon but felt it.

He said the woman did not know her attacker.

The unknown man was last seen running in the area of Geneva Drive and Nanroc Drive. His description is similar to those given in attempted burglaries during the last three months, including one in the 1000 block of Lancaster Boulevard on October 27.

Police haven’t determined whether it’s the same man.

Anyone with information is asked to call Upper Allen police at 717-238-9676.
